Die Straßen der Stadt summen. Mittendrin schlängeln sich Essenslieferant:innen auf Rädern, Mopeds und E-Bikes durch den Verkehr. Ein paar Klicks in der App, und schon bringen sie Mahlzeiten und Lebensmittel und prägen damit neue Routinen im urbanen Alltag. Wie verändert die Plattformökonomie die Straße als Arbeitswelt? Wie erzeugen Liefer-Apps Zeitdruck, und wie wirkt sich das auf Verkehr, Sicherheit und Miteinander aus? Wo entstehen Konflikte, wo Kooperationen?   Der Workshop gibt Einblick in die Plattformarbeit und macht erfahrbar, wie Plattformlogiken den Alltag von Essenslieferant:innen prägen. Auf Radfahrten durch den 10. Bezirk erkunden wir spielerisch die Straße als Ort der Arbeit und fragen: Wie schaffen wir öffentliche Straßenräume, die fair, sicher und lebendig sind und zugleich neuen Arbeitsformen Platz geben?

Playing in Traffic

Exploring the street as a workplace between delivery apps and asphalt

The streets are buzzing. In the thick of it all, food-delivery riders on bikes, mopeds and e-bikes weave their way through traffic. A few clicks in the app, and they bring meals and groceries – reshaping the rhythms of everyday urban life. But how is the platform economy transforming the street as a place of work? How do delivery apps produce time pressure, and how does that affect traffic, safety, and social interactions? Where do conflicts flare up and where do moments of cooperation emerge?   Our workshop invites participants to experience how platform logics shape the daily routines of delivery workers. On bike rides through the 10th district, we will playfully explore the street as a workplace and ask: How can we create public streets that are fair, safe and lively, while making room for new forms of work?
